Harold and Jenny South, the owners of Fairmount Residential Care Home in Mottingham, London, relate how engaging a management company has proved an attractive alternative to selling their care home.
We would like to thank Care Home Management for lifting the burden of running our care home Jenny as we have been care home owners since 1986 and have devoted the last 20 years in building a five star quality care home. We took pride in the fact that we had built an excellent reputation in the area for our home We wanted to take a rest and retire but couldn’t work out the best way to achieve this until we came across Care Home Management.
The two directors, Ian Kimberley and Mike Donegan, met with us on a number of occasions and explained how they manage homes for other people. We instantly formed a good relationship and it was obvious that they knew what they were talking about.
We agreed how they would manage our business giving them the authority to purchase day to day expenditure and seeking permission from ourselves for service breakdowns and capital expenditure.
Since we decided to go ahead with Care Home Management we have never looked back and have spent many relaxing holidays around the world spending time with our family in New Zealand. The manager and staff have a good working relationship with Ian who personally gets involved on his visits and by regular communications via email and phone. He also attends all meetings with Inspectors and Social Services acting as the responsible individual for our care home.
They have certainly lifted the burden from our shoulders and we both feel much relieved.
